Wendy is a BPS Chartered Psychologist and is registered with the HCPC as a practitioner psychologist: Counselling Psychologist. She has a Doctorate in Psychology in Counselling Psychology which included psychological scientific research and clinical hours. Prior to her doctorate, Wendy qualified as a Cognitive-Behavioural Therapist (CBT) and also trained in the Person-Centred approach, Psychodynamic approach amongst many others. In addition, Wendy is TF-CBT/EMDR trained, specialising in working with complex trauma and dissociation. Wendy works in a pluralistic/integrative way which is adapting these models to suit your needs.
Wendy has worked with a range of clients ranging from depression, relationship issues, self-identity issues, student-life difficulties, anxiety, anger management, addictions, sexual abuse, bereavement, phobias, trauma, disordered eating, OCD and many others. Wendy has worked in various clinical settings, including NHS, voluntary and private sectors as a clinician, but also in higher management overseeing clinical operations as Clinical Lead. Wendy has experience of delivering bespoke training and CPD to other clinical and non-clinical organisations. She also supervisees clinicians who are qualified and in training, such as counsellors, psychologists and doctoral students.
