Psychodynamic Psychotherapist
Welcome. I hope to be able provide a service that is tailored to help you find your own way through difficult times. I have been trained as a therapist at Masters level and qualified from Human Development Scotland and Robert Gordon University with a PGDip in Human Relations and Counselling.
The particular type of therapy I offer is Psychodynamic, which is essentially a talking and listening therapy where we work together to explore your sense of the here and now and how your current and past life experiences have brought you to this point in your life. Psychodynamic therapy focusses on thoughts and feelings, relating the past, present and future and on the possibility of change and being able to breathe again.
I have been involved in education, working in schools through most of my adult life. I specialise in offering support to those involved in the education system and other caring professions where stress, anxiety and trauma are unfortunately part of our everyday working lives.
Psychodynamic therapy helps to work out emotional knots and will assist you in fulfilling your potential both personally and professionally.
